SNAP have been successfully working with Newark Lorry Park for several years and the location is often packed with SNAP Account drivers. The owners at Newark Lorry Park have recently extended their facilities to accommodate up to 200 HGVs. In addition to the extra space, Newark Lorry Park have also agreed to open their Truck Wash to SNAP Account customers. This means that drivers will be able to use the smart-payment system for parking and washing at the site.
SNAP’s parent company, Certas Energy has also opened a brand-new HGV refuelling bunker site at Newark and will be offering four high speed pumps serving AdBlue, gas oil and diesel at speeds of up to 120 litres per minute. Discounts will be available on fuel for Certas Energy fuel card users.
Andrew Goodwin, National Bunker Manager for Certas Energy, said: "It is a pleasure to be partnering with Newark Lorry Park to help deliver a ’one-stop’ destination for drivers and hauliers.
"The Newark site is a key part of our wider strategy to extend our HGV refuelling bunker site coverage across the UK’s strategic road network. Certas Energy is committed to boosting convenience for drivers all over the country, and our Newark site is another fantastic step towards this."
Newark Lorry Park is open 24/7, seven days a week and is easily accessible from the A46, A1 and the M1. It provides toilet and shower facilities, whilst the Ranch Cafe serves homemade hot and cold food and has opening times between 6am and 10pm, depending on the day of the week.
The site security includes CCTV, ANPR and Barriers.
Keith Girling, deputy leader of Newark and Sherwood District Council, said: "We are delighted with the lorry park extension, it brings better facilities to Newark and more space for lorries to park safely and securely.
"The extension will have a positive impact on Newark’s economy by bringing more people into the area."
Mr Girling said: "We want the site to be somewhere drivers can access all of the facilities they need with speed and convenience, and the introduction of high-speed fuel pumps and cashless payment really improves this."
