SNAP Account arriving at Roadchef
From today, drivers can use SNAP Account at four Roadchef motorway service stations.
SNAP and Roadchef have joined forces to create a premier parking solution – bringing SNAP’s smart-payment system to Roadchef’s popular parking network. Roadchef was founded in 1973 and is the UK’s third-largest motorway service area operator and has 30 service stations throughout the country.
Roadchef caters for the haulage community, and you will be spoilt for choice when you get hungry at a Roadchef site. Roadchef includes McDonald's, Costa, Fresh Food Café, Chozen Noodle, WHSmith, The Cornish Bakery and much more. The dedicated HGV parking facilities are open 24 hours a day and are monitored around the clock via CCTV. At all Roadchef locations, drivers have access to showers to help them unwind after a long day on the road.
Currently, drivers can only pay with SNAP Account at four locations, but there is scope to extend the offering throughout the Roadchef network. In June, you will be able to use SNAP Account at these four Roadchef sites:
• Stafford M6 Southbound
• Clacket Lane M25 Eastbound
• Clacket Lane M25 Westbound
• Chester M56
However, for parking at all other Roadchef locations, you will not be able to pay using SNAP Account - until stated otherwise. Failure to pay using an alternative payment method will result in a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN.)
When you enter a Roadchef site, ANPR cameras will capture your vehicle licence plate number, but please ensure you input your details into the SNAP kiosks to certify your parking transaction. These are inside the main building.
