We’ve just wrapped up the penultimate Truckfest of the year, this time it was held at Hop Farm, down in Kent. As the main event we do in the south east of the country, it is always a valuable festival to attend. Despite a somewhat scenic route down the A12 from our office in Norwich, we managed to get to the venue in good time and get the marquee set up easily.
Every Truckfest we go to offers us a brilliant chance to meet some of our customers and put some faces to names and voices we recognise. We had many drivers thanking us for the service we provide, saying that it has really simplified their work. But there were also a lot of people who weren’t customers, but who were aware of us and wanted to know a bit more about what we can do for them and their business. As always, we got a lot of feedback from our existing customers, whether it’s praise or a suggestion of what we could do differently, it’s all welcome.
Our partner app, intruck, was recently launched and had a lot of interest from people who came to chat over the course of the weekend. Some had already downloaded and used the app, and were by and large very happy with it, whereas others hadn’t heard of it and so we took them through the main features and how we believe it would benefit them in their day to day driving.
Unfortunately, we weren’t able to put up our huge balloon due to wind, but we still gave out hundreds of smaller ones along with goody bags. Our remote-controlled HGV course was a big hit again, with both kids and adults all eager to put their skills to the test. We even managed to talk to Optimus Prime about our cashless payment services. On the Sunday afternoon, as the weekend was drawing to a close, we were happy to present the Best in Show Award to Richardson Transport Ltd. It’s just a couple of weeks now until the last Truckfest of 2017, this time we will be making the journey north to Cheshire, we’re already looking forward to it and hope to see many of you there!
